Call for the Anatolian Tiger, 2017


The following text was exhibited alongside an audio work: a found field recording of two Anatolian tigers communicating with each other.

Call for the Anatolian tiger, 2017
It is believed that Anatolian tigers are extinct.
An Anatolian tiger was shot dead in Şırnak in 1974. The Anatolian tiger was not seen again.
Until another one was shot dead in Diyarbakır in 2013 by people who were scared .
The audio is composed of the tigers’ sound recordings, calling each other.
For the sake of a potential.
